As preparations for Maha Kumbh 2025 gain momentum, the Yogi government is focusing on the rapid construction, renovation, and beautification of both the Maha Kumbh Mela area and Prayagraj city, with one of the key initiatives being the beautification of Madan Mohan Malviya Park along Yamuna Bank Road.
The Forest Department has undertaken the project, which includes the installation of a statue of Madan Mohan Malviya, a revered figure in Prayagraj’s history, within the park.
Additionally, the park will feature a new entrance gate, wildlife-themed sculptures, and separate restrooms for men and women, aimed at enhancing the experience of visitors during Maha Kumbh 2025.
Maha Kumbh, held every twelve years, is a source of immense pride for the people of Prayagraj.
Over the years, various prominent figures from Prayagraj, including Madan Mohan Malviya, have significantly contributed to the event’s success. Malviya, during British rule, played a pivotal role in ensuring the continuation of Maha Kumbh’s traditions, even compelling the colonial authorities to organize the event under certain conditions.
In alignment with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s vision of honoring India’s cultural heritage, a statue of Malviya will installed at the park, reflecting his immense contributions to both Prayagraj and the nation.
Rs 2 Crore Beautification Of Madan Mohan Malviya Park: Statue & New Gate To Be Installed
Arvind Yadav, District Forest Officer of Prayagraj, confirmed that under the guidance of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the beautification of the park is progressing with an investment of approximately Rs 2 crore.
The work includes the installation of Malviya’s statue and the construction of a new entrance gate.
The park will feature wildlife-themed sculptures to further enhance the experience, offering recreational and educational value. These additions aim to inspire children toward wildlife conservation.
The construction of new restrooms for men and women will also improve convenience for visitors.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has directed the completion of the beautification project before Maha Kumbh 2025, ensuring the park is ready to welcome pilgrims and visitors during the grand event.
