Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s administration will invest Rs 58.44 crore to rejuvenate the Naini Industrial Area in Prayagraj. The Uttar Pradesh State Industrial Development Authority (UPSIDA) is spearheading this project under the Atal Industrial Infrastructure Mission.
The project will upgrade key facilities, including roads, water supply, waste management, and power systems. UPSIDA CEO Mayur Maheshwari said these upgrades will create new industrial opportunities and boost Prayagraj’s growth.
New Facilities and Environmental Initiatives
The Naini Industrial Area, established in 1972, covers 776.60 acres. It is 17 kilometers from Prayagraj on NH-76E. The renovation will include upgrading 2.6 kilometers of roads and constructing wide interlocking footpaths.
A new 200-meter deep tube well and pumping plant will ensure a steady water supply. The project will also add a command center, EV charging stations, and initiatives to support local biodiversity. A new 33/11 KV substation will guarantee reliable power.
Additional features will include 18 CCTV cameras, 2 EV charging stations, and 2 digital display boards for improved security and information. The entrance will have 96 LED facade lights for better visibility. Electrical upgrades will involve Rs 1024.16 lakh for new cables and 855 street lights, 8 high masts, and 242 decorative poles.
This modernization effort aims to turn the Naini Industrial Area into a model of efficiency and sustainability.
