Yogi Adityanath Slams Congress, INDIA Bloc Over ‘Disrespect’ For People’s Mandate

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday accused the Congress and the INDIA bloc of turning their frustration over repeated electoral defeats into a ‘politics of anarchy’. He said their leaders lacked clarity, capacity and credibility, adding that disrespecting the people’s mandate reflected this mindset.

Yogi made the remarks ahead of participating in the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) ‘Loktantra Bachao, Arajakta Hatao’ padyatra in Gorakhpur alongside party National President Nitin Nabin.

In a post on X, the Chief Minister alleged that the Congress and its allies had responded to successive electoral defeats by undermining democratic values. He said disregarding the public mandate was unacceptable and called for greater public awareness against what he described as anarchy.

Yogi said he would join the march to uphold democratic principles and protect the dignity of democracy. He also reaffirmed the BJP’s commitment to safeguarding the country’s democratic institutions under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership.

BJP National President Nitin Nabin will visit Gorakhpur on Wednesday to lead a padyatra and hold meetings with senior party leaders to review preparations for the upcoming Assembly elections.

According to his office’s schedule shared on X, the march will begin at 12:10 PM from Maharana Pratap Inter College and conclude at Mata Kali Temple near the Sardar Patel statue.

The padyatra is part of the BJP’s campaign against alleged attempts to undermine democratic values.

Nabin will later meet intellectuals at 3:30 PM and public representatives at 5 PM at Annexy Bhawan in Taramandal to discuss organisational matters and election preparations.
