The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra has begun sending Diwali greetings and letters of gratitude through WhatsApp to devotees who contributed towards the construction of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya.
The Trust clarified on Tuesday that it had sent the genuine WhatsApp messages and PDF letters through its authorised channels after devotees questioned their authenticity.
The letters acknowledge donors’ contributions and invite them to update their personal details through the official portal.
Donors can further submit their names, addresses, mobile numbers and email addresses. The Trust also urged devotees to verify the link, which must begin with “donor.srjbtkshetra.org”, and avoid suspicious websites to prevent phishing and misuse of personal information.
The initiative is part of the Trust’s efforts to maintain direct communication with the millions of devotees who contributed to the construction of the temple. By reaching out during Diwali, it aims to express gratitude to donors while updating its records for future correspondence.
The Ram Temple, inaugurated in January 2024, witnessed contributions from devotees across India and abroad, reflecting widespread public participation in the project.
The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra continues to oversee the development and management of the temple complex in Ayodhya. The latest outreach initiative seeks to strengthen its engagement with donors and ensure that acknowledgements and future updates reach the intended recipients.
The Trust has reiterated that devotees should rely only on its authorised communications and verify links carefully before sharing personal details.
