“Working Closely With The Indian Government To Tackle The Pro-Khalistani Extremism” Said Rishi Sunak

Working closely with the Indian govt

Britain’s Prime Minister Rishi Sunak stated that his country is “working closely with the Indian government to tackle the Khalistani issue” after arriving in Delhi on Friday to attend the historic G20 Summit. In the UK, violent Khalistani fanaticism of any type would not be tolerated, according to Sunak.

As a result of the attack on the Indian High Commission in London on March 19, there have been growing concerns in India regarding the actions of pro-Khalistan individuals in the UK. Indian Americans have harshly condemned the incident and asked that those guilty be brought to justice right away.

“…We are collaborating closely with the Indian government to combat pro-Khalistan extremism, or “PKE.” It doesn’t seem right to me. Just recently, our security minister met with colleagues in India. To share intelligence and information and to combat this kind of violent extremism, working groups have been formed, according to Sunak.
India had sent a strong protest to the UK in the meanwhile. The National Investigation Agency (NIA) later took over the investigation of the incident after the Delhi Police filed a first information report (FIR) about it.
