
Vice-President CP Radhakrishnan on Monday described Prime Minister Narendra Modi as ‘a living inspiration for millions across the country and abroad’ while releasing two volumes of his speeches.
Organised by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the event showcased PM Modi’s addresses covering his fourth and fifth years in office during his second term.
The two books, titled Sabka Sath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas, compile 76 speeches and 12 Mann Ki Baat addresses for 2022-23 and 82 speeches with 9 Mann Ki Baat addresses for 2023-24, organised into 11 thematic sections each.
Radhakrishnan noted that the volumes reflect the Prime Minister’s clarity of thought, forward-looking vision, and commitment to inclusive governance.
PM Modi’s Initiatives for Cultural Revival & Youth Empowerment
Radhakrishnan highlighted how the speeches illustrate PM Modi’s efforts to ensure government schemes reach the last person in society.
He cited initiatives such as Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat, Kashi Tamil Sangamam, Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas, and the renaming of Delhi’s Rajpath as Kartavya Path as examples of reviving India’s cultural identity.
On youth empowerment, the Vice-President praised programmes including Startup India, Fit India, Khelo India, Skill India, and Rozgar Melas, describing them as foundational pillars for building a developed India by 2047.
He also referred to the launch of Mera Yuva Bharat, emphasising faith in the nation’s youth.
Radhakrishnan lauded India’s G20 Presidency and the historic inclusion of the African Union as a permanent member, reflecting PM Modi’s philosophy of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam, the world is one family.
He noted the Prime Minister’s ‘360-degree engagement’, ranging from global diplomacy to local initiatives such as Vocal for Local, Atmanirbhar Bharat, and PM-Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana.
He also highlighted the transformative impact of social welfare programmes such as Jan Dhan Yojana, Aadhaar-Mobile linkage, Direct Benefit Transfer, PM Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, PM-KISAN, Mudra Yojana, and PM SVANidhi, stating that over 25 crore people have emerged from extreme poverty in the past decade.
