Congress leader and Kalki Peethadhishwar Acharya Pramod Krishnam has voiced his aspiration for a spiritual leader to assume the role of Chief Minister in Uttarakhand. Krishnam expressed his willingness to promote religious-faith tourism in the hilly state, emphasizing the immense potential in cities like Haridwar and Rishikesh. He believes that by enhancing the infrastructure and appeal of such places, Uttarakhand can advance towards becoming a developed state.
Reflecting on Uttarakhand’s distinct identity, Krishnam remarked, “Uttarakhand was carved out as a separate entity from Uttar Pradesh. Additionally, it is often referred to as Devbhoomi (Land of the Gods). My desire is to see a saint holding the position of Chief Minister in this sacred land.”
Krishnam’s vision aligns with leveraging the spiritual and religious significance of Uttarakhand to boost tourism and overall development.
Pushkar Singh Dhami is also a saint – Pramod Krishnam
Pramod Krishnam, while addressing the media on Friday, January 26, offered an unconventional perspective on Pushkar Singh Dhami, stating, “I should criticize Pushkar Singh Dhami from a political point of view. However, considering the prevailing conditions and observing the simplicity and straightforwardness of Pushkar Singh Dhami, I feel that Pushkar Singh Dhami is also a saint.”
Highlighting the potential for religious-faith tourism in Uttarakhand, Krishnam emphasized the need for further promotion. He expressed his intention to discuss this matter with the Chief Minister, stating, “Whenever I meet the Chief Minister, I will talk to him about this. Because, the four Dhams of Badrinath, Kedarnath, Gangotri, and Yamunotri are located here. Cities like Haridwar, Rishikesh…there are huge possibilities.” Krishnam believes that by tapping into these opportunities, Uttarakhand can flourish as a prominent destination for spiritual and religious tourism.
