For the first time, Uttar Pradesh Tourism will host a captivating drone show during Maha Kumbh 2025 under Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s leadership.
The skies above the Sangam Nose area in Prayagraj will come alive with dazzling lights, promising a visual treat for pilgrims and visitors alike.
District Tourism Officer Aparajita Singh revealed that the drone show will take place during the opening and closing ceremonies of the event.
She stated, “A fleet of around 2,000 illuminated drones will bring to life the legendary tales of ‘Prayag Mahatmyam’ and the Maha Kumbh. The spectacular show will depict iconic events like the mythical Samudra Manthan (ocean churning) and the emergence of the Amrit Kalash (nectar pot), creating a magical visual narrative in the evening skies.”
The event will also emphasize Prayagraj’s deep spiritual and cultural heritage, offering visitors a one-of-a-kind experience.
Scheduled from 13 January to 26 February 2025, Maha Kumbh is shaping up to be a grand cultural celebration.
Preparations are nearing completion, reflecting the vision of CM Yogi Adityanath for a transformative and spiritually uplifting event.
The city is undergoing significant enhancements, with development projects underway at temples, ghats, parks, roads, and flyovers.
New attractions, including floating restaurants, water sports, and hot air balloon rides, aim to enrich the visitor experience.
Starting in early January, a musical fountain and laser show on the Yamuna River at Kali Ghat will captivate tourists.
The drone show, a festival’s centerpiece, will combine artistry and technology, leaving a lasting impression on all who attend.
With an array of innovative offerings, Maha Kumbh 2025 promises to be an unforgettable celebration of culture, spirituality, and heritage.
