Uttar Pradesh: A 3.6-magnitude earthquake strikes Ayodhya

On Sunday, Ayodhya in Uttar Pradesh was rocked by an earthquake with a magnitude of 3.6.

The National Center for Seismology (NSC) reports that the earthquake happened on Sunday at one in the morning.

The NCS added that the earthquake’s epicentre was located 10 km below Ayodhya and 215 kilometers to the north.

“Earthquake of Magnitude:3.6, Occurred on 05-11-2023, 01:07:22 IST, Lat: 28.73 & Long: 82.26, Depth: 10 Km, Location: 215km N of Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh,” said the notice.

An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.4 struck Nepal earlier on Friday, causing tremors to be felt in the national capital region of Delhi (NCR) and some other regions of north India.
