Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath criticized previous governments for failing to ensure Uttar Pradesh’s growth and security. He said Uttar Pradesh was once seen as unsafe, forcing young people and traders to leave the state.
CM Adityanath made these remarks during a credit camp under the CM Yuva Udyami Yojana for Jhansi and Chitrakoot divisions.
He stated that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, India has become the world’s fifth-largest economy.
Uttar Pradesh has emerged as the country’s second-largest economy and a key driver of national growth. He blamed past governments for incompetence, which allowed mafia dominance and riots in the state.
CM Adityanath Announces Major Industrial & Infrastructure Developments
CM Adityanath highlighted Uttar Pradesh’s position as the state with the highest number of MSME units, providing employment to millions. He announced the formation of the Bundelkhand Industrial Development Authority (BIDA) over 56,000 acres between Jhansi and Kanpur.
This will become India’s largest industrial township, with Lalitpur reserving 2,000 acres for a pharmaceutical park.
He said Jhansi would soon have a world-class convention center for public events and investment meetings.
The CM noted that Bundelkhand, once water-scarce, is now progressing with irrigation projects and the ‘Har Ghar Nal’ scheme, which will provide piped drinking water to every household.
Support For Farmers And Young Entrepreneurs
CM Adityanath promised a ₹150 per quintal increase in the Minimum Support Price (MSP) for wheat. He also announced the opening of affordable food canteens named after Mata Shabari in each mandi to provide farmers with low-cost meals and tea.
UP CM urged young entrepreneurs to register with the MSME department. He assured them that the government would provide ₹5 lakh in insurance coverage for registered businesses in case of disasters. He encouraged students to create jobs rather than seek them.
CM Adityanath also announced plans to build dormitories for working women under the Mata Ahilyabai initiative. He pledged to include backward groups in government welfare schemes and assured funds had been allocated in the state budget for this purpose.
The chief minister visited the Sky Museum in Jhansi, which has generated over ₹20 lakh in revenue. He stressed that projects should be self-sustaining and educational.
He warned residents against allowing mafia influence to return and promised security and justice. He praised the recent Maha Kumbh’s success, where 66 crore devotees participated despite the state’s 25 crore population.
CM Adityanath concluded by honoring Rani Lakshmibai, stating that her spirit inspires Bundelkhand’s strength and independence. During the event, 1,070 young entrepreneurs received loans under the CM Yuva Udyami Yojana.
