Sarojini Nagar, Uttar Pradesh’s capital of Lucknow, is currently being developed into a “digital education hub.” According to MLA Dr. Rajeshwar Singh, the establishment of digital labs is made possible by the ongoing supply of computers to the local colleges and schools. Youngsters are being urged to connect with digital devices and new technology in order to learn more.
By installing computers at Sarojini Nagar’s colleges and schools, digital libraries are being created. Dr. Rajeshwar Singh opened the Gautam Buddha Degree College, Bijnor, Digital Lab on Wednesday. The MLA paid flower tributes to the Gautam Buddha statue during this time. He then opened the Digital Lab by cutting the ribbon. He queried the college students about their career planning when he first met them and offered advice. He went to the school library as well. Teachers at colleges thanked the MLA for the digital lab.
The MLA donated ten computers to this college as part of CSR. This digital lab will help over 650 students enrolled in this coeducational college. To date, the MLA in Sarojini Nagar has set up digital labs in 19 colleges, complete with 200 PCs. Our goal is to set up a digital lab in each and every Sarojini Nagar school, college, and educational establishment, according to Dr. Rajeshwar Singh. Our goal is to increase youth’s digital literacy, particularly among girls, so they can take advantage of future digital opportunities.
In the digital age, the challenges and opportunities for the youth are continuously increasing, and the level of competition is continuously increasing, in such a situation, we should prepare the children and youth mentally, physically, and digitally so that they can fearlessly accept the upcoming challenges. And build a strong nation. These things were said by Sarojini Nagar MLA Dr. Rajeshwar Singh. It was the occasion of block level seminar and orientation of village heads/local authorities and head teachers and a tablet distribution ceremony to teachers organized by the Basic Education Department at Gautam Buddha Degree College, Bijnor. During this, he also expressed his views on increasing the level of education, the need for digital education, and the role of teachers in society. He also honored the excellent teachers who have made significant contributions to the field of education by distributing tabs. The program started with Saraswati Puja, after which the cultural presentations of children enthralled everyone. During this, Dr. Rajeshwar Singh honored 20 excellent teachers teaching in schools of Sarojini Nagar by giving them tabs.
Emphasizing digital literacy, Dr. Rajeshwar Singh said that the whole world is moving towards digital literacy. Both Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath are committed to encouraging digital education. When Prime Minister Narendra Modi started Digital India in 2014, there were only 6 crore internet connections in the country, whereas today this number has increased to 83 crore, which is the highest in the world. 120 crore people have mobile phones, out of which 75 crore people have smartphones. India tops in data consumption. Due to ever-increasing digitalization, we have to make children digitally literate. A budget of Rs 3,600 crore was also allocated by CM Yogi for distributing smartphones and tablets to children. Work in every field is now being done digitally. Be it the banking sector, where online banking transactions are being done, be it health where robotic surgeries are being done, be it the field of agriculture, now every work is being done in a digital manner.
Praising the teachers, he said that teachers are the sculptors of the society who shape the bright future of the country, who burn like wax and light the path of progress with the light of knowledge. They are most helpful in fulfilling the dreams of children and youth. Teachers create a strong country. It is through the contribution of teachers that today India has established itself as a political, economic, and military superpower. Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the US Parliament twice. G-20 was organized successfully.
Dr. Singh informed the students about the upcoming challenges and said that the level of competition is continuously increasing. Earlier around 2 lakh students appeared for the UPAC exam, today 10 lakh students appeared for the exam, whereas earlier 1 lakh students appeared for the PCS exam, and now this number has increased to 4 to 5 lakh. In such a situation, it is very important that children be prepared for the upcoming competitions, challenges, and opportunities. The better the education of children and youth, the better and stronger will be the level of the society and the country. It is my endeavor to ensure that every facility and resource is available to the children in all the schools of Sarojini Nagar.
