Union Minister Giriraj Singh Asserts Nation’s Unwavering Support For Indian Army And Government’s Handling Of Border Situation

Union Minister Giriraj Singh on Sunday firmly stated that India stands united in support of the Indian Army and the government’s approach to managing the tense situation at the India-Pakistan border.

He further warned, “Anyone who speaks against the nation will never be accepted by the country.”

Singh’s remarks come in the wake of the recent ceasefire agreement between India and Pakistan, following days of heightened cross-border tensions.

The minister expressed his pride in the Indian Army’s bravery and reaffirmed national confidence in the leadership.

“The entire nation is proud of the bravery of the Indian Army, which has demonstrated its valour. People have full faith in the country’s leadership. Both Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Army have made the nation proud. We say with pride, we are Indians,” Singh stated.

The ceasefire agreement has received bipartisan support, with senior opposition leaders acknowledging the government’s efforts to de-escalate tensions.

Congress Leaders React

Former Union Minister and Congress leader P Chidambaram praised the decision, calling it ‘wise’ and crediting Prime Minister Modi for preventing further escalation of the situation.

Chidambaram’s support of the government’s actions has sparked wide political discussion.

Echoing Chidambaram’s sentiment, Congress MP Shashi Tharoor stated that the intended message from India had been sent, adding, “Prolonging the conflict was never the intention.”

Tharoor commended the ceasefire as a responsible step towards de-escalation.

Congress leader Manish Tewari also highlighted the rare political consensus, noting, “The entire opposition has welcomed and praised the actions taken by the Indian Army. The whole nation, be it the ruling party, the opposition, or the common people, has stood united. This is a living example of India’s internal strength and unity.”

Meanwhile, Mrityunjay Tiwari of the RJD welcomed the ceasefire but urged caution.

“India is a peace-loving country, and any steps towards peace will be welcomed. However, the violation of the ceasefire is the real concern here. India does not start wars, but will not sit silently if attacked. Further clarity on the circumstances that led to this ceasefire is still awaited,” he remarked.
