The incident took place in Greater Noida's Blue Sapphire Mall
Two men from Ghaziabad met a tragic end during a Sunday mall outing when they were crushed by an iron grille at Greater Noida’s Blue Sapphire Mall. Senior police officer Hridesh Katheria disclosed that Harendra and Shakeel were walking towards the escalator when the iron grill, which had been installed for fencing in the still-under-construction mall, fell from the fifth floor.
The horrifying incident left the two men in a pool of blood, with a helmet believed to belong to one of them lying nearby. Viral visuals captured other mall visitors attempting to rescue the victims while looking on in shock.

Despite being rushed to the hospital with severe injuries, the two men were tragically declared dead by doctors. Police are currently working to inform the victims’ families, and an investigation into the incident is underway.
