In a successful operation led by the Ghaziabad Police, two alleged cow smugglers were arrested following an encounter in the Tronica City area. The police, working with the SWAT team, DCP Rural, and local authorities, captured the suspects after a brief chase and exchange of gunfire.
Both individuals were injured during the encounter, with gunshot wounds to their legs, before being apprehended and taken into custody.
The arrested men have been identified as Sajid alias Sadua and Bajju alias Wajahat, both of whom were wanted in multiple cow slaughter cases. Sajid was carrying a bounty of Rs 25,000 for his involvement in a cow slaughter case in Amroha, while Bajju had a reward of Rs 15,000 on his head for similar crimes.

During the operation, law enforcement officials recovered a range of illegal items from the suspects, including firearms, knives, ropes, and other tools commonly used in cow slaughter activities. The arrest also sheds light on their involvement in a recent case, where four bovine carcasses were discovered discarded in plastic bags in a roadside sewer pit in Tronica City.
Part Of An Organized Gang
Investigators have linked the suspects to an organized criminal network operating across the Delhi-NCR region, including Ghaziabad, Noida, Sambhal, and Amroha. Police have learned that the gang’s modus operandi involved stealing cows using a Honda City car, transporting the animals to Delhi for slaughter, and then dumping the remains in Tronica City to avoid detection.
Both suspects have extensive criminal records, with more than two dozen cases registered against them, ranging from violations under the Gangster Act and Arms Act to charges of theft and attempted murder. Authorities are now working to uncover the broader network, seeking to identify other members involved in cow smuggling and illegal slaughter.
Two other accomplices of the suspects were arrested in a separate police encounter just two days ago, further confirming that authorities are dealing with a well-organized gang. The investigation continues as authorities aim to dismantle the entire operation.
