According to a police official, two of the three minor boys feared drowned in Mumbai’s Marve Creek were discovered on Monday morning. The search was still ongoing for the remaining missing boy. The incident occurred on Sunday morning when five boys, aged between 12 and 16 and residing in the Malwani area, ventured into Marve Creek in suburban Malad. While bystanders rescued two boys before the fire brigade arrived, three others went missing.
Authorities, including the fire brigade, police, Coast Guard, and Navy divers, swiftly arrived at the scene and initiated a search operation. However, the process was temporarily halted on Sunday night. A helicopter was also employed in the search, but it was called off in the evening. The bodies of the two missing boys, both 14 years old, were recovered from the water on Monday morning and transported to a hospital, as confirmed by a police official. Efforts were still underway to locate the 12-year-old boy who remained missing.

An incident of similar nature occurred in Mumbai a few days ago where a 27-year-old woman, identified as Jyoti Kumar, drowned in the sea at Bandra. The unfortunate event took place around 7:00 in the morning. The woman had gone to visit Bandra Fort along with her companions from Navi Mumbai when this happened.
