Three Delhi Schools Receive Threatening Emails; Trigger Security Sweep

Three schools in the national capital received threatening emails on Monday, prompting large-scale search and security operations across their campuses.

The institutions include Army Public School, Salwan Public School, and Meera Public School, officials confirmed.

Army Public School is located in the high-security Delhi Cantonment area, adding to the sensitivity of the alert.

Following the receipt of the emails, teams from Delhi Police, bomb disposal squads, dog squads and the Delhi Fire Services rushed to the locations.

Authorities immediately secured the surrounding areas to ensure the safety of students and staff.

As a precautionary measure, school authorities evacuated students and staff while security personnel conducted detailed searches of the premises.

Officials found no suspicious objects during initial checks and continue sanitisation and detailed searches.

Police have launched a probe to trace the origin of the emails and verify their authenticity.

Cyber teams are analysing digital evidence to identify those responsible, and officials have promised strict action. Authorities are also checking whether similar emails targeted other institutions.

Last week, the Delhi Secretariat and two schools, including Army Public School in Dhaula Kuan and Air Force Bal Bharti School, received similar threats.

Security teams conducted searches but found no explosives.

Police reported over 500 such cases last year, with at least four school threats in the past two weeks across Delhi-NCR.

Authorities have urged school administrations to remain vigilant and strictly follow safety protocols. Parents and members of the public have been advised to stay calm as investigations continue.

Security agencies reiterated their commitment to ensuring the safety of students and staff.

The probe into the latest threats remains active, with officials working to trace the source of the emails and prevent further incidents.
