Supreme Court Warns Centre In Coast Guard Case, Says “If You Can’t, We Will…”

It was then that the Chief Justice had questioned why there was an “indifference” about the Coast Guard. “What makes you oppose women serving in the Coast Guard? Priyanka Tyagi, the petitioner, had previously filed a case with the Delhi High Court but was not granted relief. She cited the Supreme Court’s rulings on women’s permanent commissions in the Army and Navy in her petition.
