The Supreme Court will hear a new Public Interest Litigation (PIL) on October 14 regarding bulldozer actions across the country. Alok Sharma and Priya Mishra, residents of Delhi, filed the petition through lawyer Narendra Mishra. The PIL demands compensation for those affected by wrongful bulldozer demolitions.

Supreme Court’s Role and Pending Guidelines
The petition demands that compensation for wrongful actions be recovered from guilty officials, along with appropriate punitive measures. It emphasizes that victims should receive full compensation for their losses. The Supreme Court has already banned bulldozer actions nationwide and reserved its decision on issuing further guidelines.
