Supreme Court Stuns Mamata Government, Postpones CBI Investigation Hearing for 3 Weeks

The West Bengal government’s petition regarding the CBI investigation has been postponed by the Supreme Court. Before this, on February 21, the court had declined to hear the case right away. The Supreme Court has continued to postpone the hearing for three weeks in such a scenario.

The Mamta government claimed in the Supreme Court petition that the CBI’s authorization to register cases and look into state affairs had been revoked many years prior. Despite this, the CBI continues to file FIRs in numerous instances, including violence following elections.

The information states that attorney Kapil Sibal stated during the February 21 hearing that the Justice Gavai-led bench had nine times postponed the case’s hearing. Under such circumstances, this case ought to be taken up right away. Attorney General Tushar Mehta stated that this issue had been going on for two years. This matter doesn’t need to be heard right away.
