‘Strength, Courage And Positive Energy’: PM Modi Greets Devotees On Navratri Day 6

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday extended greetings to devotees on the sixth day of Navratri, offering prayers to Maa Katyayani and wishing strength, courage and positive energy for everyone.

In a post on X, PM Modi said, “On the sacred sixth day of Navratri, countless salutations at the holy feet of Maa Katyayani! My heartfelt wish is that through Her grace, boundless strength, courage, and positive energy infuse every life.”

The Prime Minister shared a link to Bhavani Ashtakam, a devotional bhajan dedicated to Maa Durga, performed by Madhvi Madhukar Jha. He further shared a Sanskrit verse dedicated to Maa Jagadambika, reflecting on the goddess’s divine presence in words, thoughts and forms.

The verse conveys the belief that every word can become a hymn in praise of the goddess, every thought can reflect her presence, and every form in the world can be seen as an expression of her divinity.

Maa Katyayani is the sixth form of Goddess Durga, and devotees worship her on the sixth day of Shardiya Navratri. She symbolises courage, strength, determination and the protection of righteousness.

During the nine-day festival, devotees worship the different forms of Goddess Durga through prayers, rituals and devotional ceremonies. Many observe fasts and seek the goddess’s blessings for peace, prosperity and well-being.

Shardiya Navratri holds religious significance across India, with temples and homes hosting special prayers and celebrations.

The festival concludes with Vijayadashami, also known as Dussehra, which marks the victory of good over evil.
