The Spanish woman has been admitted to a hospital, police said.
A Spanish woman, victimized by a brutal gang rape in Dumka, Jharkhand, approximately 300 km from the state capital Ranchi, recounted her harrowing ordeal in an Instagram post. Bearing visible bruises on her face, she disclosed the torment, stating, “Seven men have raped me.”
The woman and her partner, hailing from Bangladesh and traveling on two motorcycles towards Bihar and Nepal, fell prey to robbery and assault while halting for the night at a makeshift tent.
“They assaulted and robbed us, focusing primarily on subjecting me to rape,” she disclosed.

Authorities have apprehended three individuals in connection with the incident and initiated a manhunt to capture the remaining culprits. A specialized investigation team (SIT) has been assembled to delve into the matter.
The survivor is currently receiving medical treatment in a hospital, according to police reports.
Dumka Superintendent of Police Pitambar Singh Kherwar recounted how a patrolling team from Hansdiha encountered the distressed couple on the roadside around 11 pm on Friday. “Given their Spanish communication, the police brought them to a local hospital, suspecting they required assistance,” he explained.
The Spanish couple subsequently informed medical staff about the sexual assault they endured.

“We were notified about the incident at 1:30 am on Saturday. Prompt investigation ensued thereafter. Following interrogation, some individuals were detained, with confessions obtained. A concerted effort, aided by forensic and CID assistance, is underway to track down the remaining suspects,” Kherwar added.
Jharkhand BJP president and former chief minister Babulal Marandi emphasized the urgency for decisive action against the police, expressing concerns over the implications for tourism in the region and decrying the perceived breakdown of law and order.
The matter was addressed in the Jharkhand Assembly during its budget session conclusion, where state minister Mithilesh Thakur condemned the atrocity and pledged resolute measures against the perpetrators.
