Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Friday attacked opposition parties during a public meeting in Pratapgarh.

Citing the judicial commission report on the 2024 Sambhal violence, he said, “Hindus were selectively targeted under Samajwadi Party and Congress rule. Conspiracies aimed to reduce the Hindu population and alter demography. Today, the double-engine government will not tolerate such divisive politics; anyone attempting to change the state’s demography will have to migrate.”

Moreover, CM Yogi inaugurated and laid the foundations for 186 development projects worth Rs 570 crore in Pratapgarh.

He added, “The opposition is flustered seeing development works. The Congress and Samajwadi Party’s INDI alliance is anti-India. It undermines our honour and divides the country on caste and religion.”

He further stated that previous governments promoted mafias, encouraged hooliganism, and denied the poor their rights.

“People have now rejected them,” he said.

Additionally, he condemned derogatory remarks against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his late mother at a recent INDI alliance rally in Bihar.

He remarked, “Such statements reflect the opposition’s frustration. They insulted 140 crore Indians.”

Development and Empowerment in Focus

CM Yogi emphasised that the government focuses on empowerment rather than appeasement.

He said, “The double-engine government lifted six crore people above the poverty line in eight years. We eradicated mafia culture and implemented One District One Product and One District One Medical College.”

Furthermore, he highlighted Pratapgarh’s progress. “Amla production now reaches the world. Sonelal Patel Medical College has been established. Connectivity projects like the Ganga Expressway are accelerating development.”

He also stressed women’s safety and empowerment.

“Anyone harming a daughter’s honour will face Yamaraj at the next crossroads,” he said.

He noted that over 12,000 daughters were inducted into the police force, and 2,425 Lady Supervisors were recruited in the Women and Child Development Department.

Programs like Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao, Kanya Sumangala, and mass marriages promote self-reliant daughters.

Infrastructure Projects Inaugurated and Laid

CM Yogi inaugurated and laid the foundations for roads, bridges, schools, sports facilities, and tourism projects.

Key works include widening the Lalganj-Manjhanpur-Mau Road, building a transit hostel, integrated special schools, and sports infrastructure at Gram Sabha-Sandwa-Chandrika Purabgaon and Degree College Mangraura.

Tourism projects at Sandwa Chandrika Temple and Yudhishthir Dialogue Venue were also initiated.

During his visit, CM Yogi offered prayers at Belha Devi Temple and reviewed facilities for devotees.

Moreover, he distributed keys under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana and Mukhyamantri Awas Yojana, financial aid under self-help groups, solar pumps under PM-Kusum, and Ayushman Bharat cards.

State Minister Dyashankar Singh, Rajya Sabha MP Amar Pal Maurya, MLA Rajendra Kumar Maurya, MLC Dr Mahendra Kumar Singh, and other officials attended the event.
