Shatrughan Sinha, a Trinamool Congress MP believes that a unified opposition could work a miracle in next year’s Lok Sabha election.
Sinha told the media on Friday that he was optimistic about the opposition parties’ meeting slated for June 23.
He praised Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar for the ‘initiative’, and expressed joy that his party’s chief Mamata Banerjee has agreed to attend the meeting.
Trinamool Congress MP, Shatrughan Sinha said, “I have always held that Mamata Banerjee is a game changer. It is great that she will be there with people like national icon Rahul Gandhi, who has acquired heroic stature after Bharat Jodo Yatra”.

The Asansol MP believed that the meeting will aid in the development of a shared minimum programme for the new government which replaces the current regime.
Shatrughan Sinha, who had twice represented Patna Sahib as a BJP MP before losing the seat to Ravi Shankar Prasad on a Congress ticket in 2019, was asked how many seats he expected the unified opposition to win in 2024.
“I am not an astrologer but it is safe to say that there will be a miracle”, he replied.
“We saw glimpses of what is possible in the assembly elections in Himachal Pradesh and Karnataka where the BJP was trounced by the Congress”, he added.
