In a joint operation, Delhi and Uttar Pradesh police apprehended Yogesh, alias Raju, a sharpshooter wanted for the murder of a 35-year-old gym owner, Nadir Shah, in Delhi’s Greater Kailash area. Raju, a resident of Badaun, Uttar Pradesh, is affiliated with the Lawrence Bishnoi and Hashim Baba gangs.
Raju’s accomplice, Madhur, alias Ayaan, was arrested by the Delhi Police Special Cell on October 12. The duo allegedly shot and killed Shah outside his gym on September 12. Following a tip-off, police tracked Raju’s movements to Mathura and set a trap in collaboration with local authorities.

Early Thursday, Raju was spotted riding a motorbike near the Baad railway station. When confronted, he opened fire, prompting police to retaliate. Raju sustained a gunshot wound to his left leg and was hospitalized. Police recovered a .32 bore handgun, seven live cartridges, three empty shells, and a motorbike without a number plate from the scene.
This arrest marks a significant breakthrough in the case, which highlights the ongoing efforts of law enforcement to combat organized crime and gang violence in the region. The investigation is ongoing, with police working to unravel the complex web of gang affiliations and motivations behind the murder.
