Former vice president Mohammad Hamid Ansari, former prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh, Veteran BJP leaders, LK Advani and Dr. Murli Manohar Joshi cast their votes from home, using the ballot facility, informed Delhi Poll body.
The office of the chief electoral officer (CEO) of Delhi on Thursday started a home voting facility for the elderly and the process will continue till May 24. Polls are scheduled in the Capital on May 25.
On Friday, on the second day of the vote-from-home facility, 1409 voters exercised their right to vote from the comfort of their homes across the seven parliamentary constituencies in Delhi, as per the information shared by the office of the Election Commission of India.
The west Delhi constituency reported the highest number of home votes, with 348 votes participating. 299 of these voters were elderly individuals.

2956 Indians have cast their ballot from home, as the second day of the vote from home completes, the CEO’s office said.
The exercise commenced on May 16. 1,486 voters exercised their franchise from home on the first day of this exercise.
A total of 5,406 elderly and Physically challenged voters have filled out the form 12D to avail the home voting facility across Delhi in 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
The home voting facility is designed to ensure these voters- aged 85 and above as well as PWDs- can participate in the electoral process with the ease of home, eliminating the need to visit polling stations.
