Scuffle Broke Out Between DM And BDO In Agra City; FIR Registered In The Case  

Late on Friday evening it came to light that a case has been registered against BDO Anirudh Singh Chauhan in Agra.

District Magistrate (DM), Bhanu Chandra Goswami had an altercation with the BDO in Agra city. The conversation between the two officers escalated so much that a scuffle broke out. The two officers were first involved in verbal abuse which later grew into physical fight.

Late on Friday evening it came to light that a case has been registered against BDO Anirudh Singh Chauhan in Agra. BDO Anirudh Singh Chauhan is accused of using abusive language and assaulting the District Magistrate. This case has been filed by Assistant Development Officer Pankaj Kumar (Khandauli Panchayat).

Case filed

Case FIR no. 17 has been registered under section 323 504 506 332 of IPC. According to the FIR, “There was a review meeting related to a scheme under the chairmanship of the DM at 10 am in the civil office of the District Magistrate. In which Chief Development Officer Pratibha Singh, Block Development Officer Akol, Sushmita Yadav, Block Development Officer Etmadpur Khandauli, Amit Kumar, Block Development Officer Bichpuri, Neha Singh and Block Development Officer Barauli Ahir, Anirudh Singh Chauhan and Assistant Development Officer (Panchayat) of Akola, Shailendra Singh Solanki and Pankaj Kumar – Assistant Development Officer (Panchayat) Khandauli were present. The review meeting was going on very peacefully. During the review of development block area Barauli by DM during the meeting, BDO Anirudh Singh Chauhan suddenly got agitated when BDO Anirudh Singh Chauhan asked questions from Agra about the problems of the people of the development block and the slow pace of development works and used abusive language against the District Magistrate. He then abused and threatened DM.”

After that a case was registered. The responsibility of investigating the case has been given to sub-inspector Rajesh Kumar Sahu.
