Sarojini Nagar MLA Rajeshwar Singh Encourages National Arm Boxing Championship Participants, Says – “Your Self-Confidence & Excellent Performance Are Pride Of Country”

On Sunday, Sarojini Nagar MLA Dr. Rajeshwar Singh was the chief guest at the conclusion of the three-day National Arm Boxing Championship.

This championship, held at Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Transit Hostel in Telibagh, was organized in collaboration with Naseeruddin Siddiqui, Founder and General Secretary of Amateur Arm Boxing Sports Federation, and Sarojini Nagar MLA representative Pradeep Mishra. Dr Rajeshwar Singh encouraged the players and mentioned the 4’S qualities of the players during the programme.

Sarojini Nagar MLA said, “Players must have important qualities such as speed, skill, stamina, and sportsmanship, which are necessary for youth”.

The championship was attended by children, sub-junior, junior, and senior players from Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Kerala, and Madhya Pradesh. This programme also featured international players Mahendra Singh, Nadeem, and Sartaj Siddiqui.

Prior to the event, Dr Rajeshwar Singh arrived to officially open the pool at the Sarosa Seth Anandram Jaipuria School campus in Alambagh. He did this while touring the school, showing his delight at seeing the computer lab there, and praising it as a resource for his constituents.

Interacting with the children during the programme, he said, “If the children choose a career based on their interests, they will perform better”.

He further said, “Our goal is for students to become job creators rather than job seekers”.

Principal Gunjan Danani, Chairman Manish Malhotra, Yuvraj Malhotra, Yashasvi Malhotra, Tejas Malhotra, Kishore Malhotra, and other teachers, students, and parents were present.

In addition, Dr Rajeshwar Singh, who attended the final day of the 5th National Para-Badminton Championship held at Dr Shakuntala Mishra National Rehabilitation University, met and encouraged the para-athlete players.

During this, he stated that all of the country’s para-athlete players are excellent examples of determination, struggle, and success. He described these athletes as role models and sources of inspiration for the society.

A public hearing camp was also held in Vrindavan Yojna Sector 7 as part of the weekly ‘Aapka Vidhayak, Aapke Dwar’ programme in Sarojini Nagar. The problems of the people were heard and positive assurances were given for their redressal at this camp organised in memory of the late Tara Singh, mother of the MLA.

In addition, dental check-ups and treatment were provided as part of the ‘Free Health Camp’ held on the last Sunday of each month by Chetna Dental Center. Four regional meritorious students who received the highest marks in the intermediate examination were honoured with cycles, certificates, and watches as part of the ‘Pride of the Village’ programme.
