Sanskar Bharati’s Kala Sankul hosted a special theatre seminar last Sunday evening, dedicated to thought and creative expression.
The event featured an impactful staging of the acclaimed play Jalam Amritam by the Abhinay Natya Association, followed by an engaging interactive session with the audience.
Written by Dr Madhu Pant and directed by Nisha Trivedi, Jalam Amritam sensitively explored the deep connection between water, life and human emotions.
Research and music by Lokendra Trivedi enriched the performance with emotional depth.
Addressing issues such as water scarcity and environmental exploitation, the play conveyed a powerful message that water is life and its preservation is a moral duty.
It effectively combined artistic expression with social awareness, leaving a lasting impact.
Speaking during the seminar, Lokendra Trivedi remarked, “This play focuses on one of the most critical concerns of our time — water and life. Jalam Amritam inspires audiences not merely to think, but to become sensitive participants in change. Our effort has been to create an experience that raises questions while also guiding towards solutions.”
The audience, including art lovers, writers and theatre practitioners, praised the play as a compelling artistic response to contemporary concerns.
During the interactive session, attendees engaged the performers in thoughtful discussion on its themes and staging.
Concluding the event, Central Office Secretary Ashok Tiwari described Kala Sankul as a sacred space where creativity nurtures social awareness.
The programme successfully blended art with ideas, delivering both a rich theatrical experience and a strong message of environmental responsibility.
