In the DG conference, the Prime Minister had given a new vision based on the new concept of smart policing along with the change in the law in front of the Director Generals of Police across the country. He talked about being strict and sensitive, modern and mobile, alert and accountable, reliable and responsive, techno-savvy and trending. UP Police has tried to take down all these things literally. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath flagged off the upgraded PRV under UP-112 Phase II at his official residence on Thursday.

He also distributed air conditioned helmets. On this occasion, the CM said that this program is a campaign to take the seven-year process of smart policing to new heights.

In the first administrative meeting after becoming the CM in 2017, it was revealed that UP is the country’s largest state in population, but it was the sixth largest state in economy. As the rule of law was established in the state, UP emerged as the second largest economy of the country and now it is rapidly becoming established as the biggest economy within nation. CM said that if we do not pay attention to modernization keeping in mind the needs of the society, the police force will lag behind. If this happens, the most dangerous impact will be on the safety of ordinary citizens. Once public trust is lost in the system, it will take a long time to restore it.
For the first time, Forensic Institute was formed for UP Police Force: CM Yogi said that a new era has been entered in modern infrastructure. UP has set an example of how investment, Global Investors Summit and ground breaking ceremonies should be performed and implemented. These are not just slogans, this is the ground reality.

We recruited police through a transparent process without any discrimination and also provided proper training. Here infrastructure facilities were developed and training capacity was increased. Many efforts were made to modernize the police force. For the first time, Forensic Institute was formed for the UP Police Force. The course has also been started last year.

CM Yogi said that we tried to reduce the response time of UP-112 and increase the number of PRV-112. In seven years, along with four wheelers, two wheelers were also included, so that PRV could reach the streets to serve the common people. During the lockdown during the Corona period, PRV 112 of UP Police was in the headlines. People had seen the service spirit of the police force. The facility of two wheelers has reached those streets where four wheelers cannot go. The government has decided on a big program for the next three years. Efforts have been started to provide 6278 four and two wheelers in this fleet. This year, 1778 four-two wheelers are going to be made part of the fleet.
