The Rouse Avenue Court is set to review the supplementary chargesheet filed against BRS leader K Kavitha and others on July 22, in connection with the Delhi liquor policy case. The CBI’s third chargesheet has named K Kavitha as an accused. Kavitha is currently held in Tihar Jail on charges from both the CBI and ED.
Previously, on May 10, the ED filed supplementary charges in the Rouse Avenue Court, accusing Kavitha of being a key figure in the South Group, which allegedly paid a Rs 100 crore bribe to the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) for a significant share of liquor licenses in Delhi. The ED has identified Kavitha as the main conspirator and beneficiary in the Delhi Excise Policy scam. It is alleged that she collaborated with former Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia and Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, using middlemen and brokers to facilitate bribes. In return, the AAP leaders allegedly provided favorable policy conditions and access to policymaking.

To date, 18 individuals have been arrested in this case, including Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh, K Kavitha, and others.
