Rewa-Sidhi tunnel is India's first aqua duct, says Nitin Gadkari
Madhya Pradesh is witnessing all-round development under the leadership of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan.With the CM’s day and night efforts in the development of Vindhya region is being displayed in the changing picture of MP towards fulfilling the dream of self-reliant India. All road transport related proposals of the state are going to be approved as well as five green field highways are being built in the heart land of India.
Bhopal: December 10, 2022. Union Minister Nitin Gadkari says that the Rewa-Sidhi tunnel is a historic gift for the Vindhya region. This is going to be India’s first aqua duct. The Bansagar canal and road have been built over it. This is an important tunnel in the history of the country. This will give a new direction to the development of the region. This tunnel has connectivity to the second tunnel after 300 meters, having 46 exhaust fans, optical fiber lane, as well as LXBC system and fire fighting system.
The Union Ministe thanked and congratulated the concerned engineers for this work. Gadkari also appreciated Chief Minister Chouhan’s day and night efforts in the development of Vindhya region. When CM Chouhan allots an amount of Re 1 for other regions of Madhya Pradesh, he approves Rs 1.25 for Vindhya region. Today, the foundation stone laying ceremony with the inauguration of the development works worth about Rs 1500 crore for the area is going to create a new dimension to the development here.
Union Minister Nitin Gadkari said that all-round development of Madhya Pradesh is taking place under the leadership of Chief Minister Chouhan. The changing picture of Madhya Pradesh will fulfill Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s dream of self-reliant India. In the coming times, Madhya Pradesh will be leading among the developed states of the country. India will become a super economic power under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Madhya Pradesh will contribute significantly in that.
Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari inaugurated 7 road projects (204.81 km) worth Rs 2443.89 crore at Barsaita Rewa today. He also mentioned about 4 lane Churhat bypass and 6 lane tunnel, four lane road from Satna to Bela along with a concrete-cement road in Rewa city under CRIF, two lane road up to Gajan, Magarwar, Itour, Khamharia Goraiya and Sajjanpur.
Gadkari also laid the foundation stone of Beohari to Adarsh Village New Sapta Marg and Devtalab-Naigarhi road under CRIF. CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan presided over the program.
Union Minister Gadkari visited the Rewa-Sidhi 6 lane tunnel and appreciated the organized work done. Gadkari said that Rewa-Sidhi Tunnel is the first “Aqua Duct” of India. Union Minister Gadkari congratulated Rahul Dubey, Sanjay Kumar Singh, Ajit Swain, Rakesh Patel, Kapil Sharma, Avadh Singh, Ramvilas Singh Patel, Sumesh Banjal and team leader Vivek Jaiswal for excellent construction work. Excellence awards were also presented. Gadkari also released a booklet based on the development of Rewa.
The Union Minister said that 5 green field expressways/highways of high quality are being constructed in Madhya Pradesh. He also suggested CM Chouhan that a logistics park and industrial area should also be developed near these highways.
This is the 245-km portion of the Mumbai-Delhi Expressway which is going to be built in Madhya Pradesh. Atal Progress-Way, Indore-Hyderabad 6-lane, Ujjain-Garoth 4-lane and Agra-Gwalior Green Field Highway are also being made. On the special demand of CM Chouhan, Nitin Gadkari also promised making an announcement that all missing links of Narmada Parikrama Path will also be completed as soon as possilbe. Gadkari said that all road transport related proposals of the state will also be accepted.
Union Minister Gadkari said that Madhya Pradesh has all the necessary facilities for industries. The state has an excellent system of water, energy, transport and communication. The production of agriculture has increased due to the development of means of irrigation in the state. Today Madhya Pradesh is first in the country in the field of agriculture. CM Chouhan deserves congratulations for this. Madhya Pradesh is also ahead in the development of Vindhya region. A speedy construction work for the Amrit Sarovar is also going on well in the state.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that PM Modi and Union Minister Nitin Gadkari are developing the country at a fast pace. Today is a historic day for the land of Vindhya. A wonderful tunnel has been constructed in the area. Gadkari has laid a network of roads in in India and this includes Madhya Pradesh too. He has not allowed any shortage of funds in development work. The roads of Madhya Pradesh have become so good that today our minister Gopal Bhargava has reached Rewa from Sagar in three and a half hours.
