CM Yogi Urges Youth to Embrace Ideals of National Leaders

The Chief Minister emphasized the importance of the Kakori Train Action in India’s freedom movement

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath reviewed the preparations for the Kakori Train Action Centenary Mahotsav and the Har Ghar Tiranga program at his official residence on Saturday. He issued necessary directions to the officials.

The Chief Minister emphasized the importance of the Kakori Train Action in India’s freedom movement. He announced that the state government will celebrate the centenary with enthusiasm throughout the year with various activities across the state.

The statewide ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign will run from August 13 to 15, 2024. The centenary festival of Kakori Train Action will start on August 9. The Chief Minister directed that large-scale programs be organized at martyr memorials, memorial sites, and Amrit Sarovars. He stressed honoring the families of martyrs, freedom fighters, and ex-servicemen. He called for the participation of school children, teenagers, and youth.

He instructed the preparation of booklets on Kakori Train Action, events, and freedom fighters from 1857 to 1947. He recommended organizing competitions such as general knowledge, painting, calligraphy, essay, debate, and speech. Winners should receive awards at the district and state levels, and winning children should visit the Kakori memorial site.

The Chief Minister directed involving central and state government ministers and public representatives. He designated the Tourism and Culture Department as the nodal department. He instructed the Chief Secretary and Director General of Police to direct districts via video conferencing. He also called for Additional Chief Secretaries, Principal Secretaries, and Heads of Departments to guide their officers.

He instructed the training of bands from Police, PAC, Home Guard, Paramilitary, Military, NCC, and schools to play the national anthem and patriotic songs from August 9 to 15 at martyr sites. He urged involving Youth and Mahila Mangal Dal, Scout Guide, NCC, and NSS volunteers.

The Chief Minister called for the participation of civic, social, business, and voluntary organizations. He suggested organizing blood donation camps and distributing fruits in hospitals. He recommended creating a ‘Logo’ for the Kakori Train Action Centenary Mahotsav and using it throughout the year.

He directed the Urban Development and Panchayati Raj Department to ensure cleanliness at all freedom struggle sites. He called for better market cleanliness and playing patriotic songs. He suggested organizing martyr fairs in Lucknow and Shahjahanpur, promoting indigenous products, and holding Kavi Sammelans.

The Chief Minister proposed establishing Martyr Memorial Gardens with the ‘One Tree in the Name of Mother’ program at all martyr memorials, Amrit Sarovars, and Amrit Vatikas. He recommended planting about 100 saplings in each.
