Anumula Revanth Reddy, the President of Telangana Congress, is set to be sworn in as the new Chief Minister of Telangana in a grand ceremony at Hyderabad’s LB Stadium today. The oath-taking event will include twelve ministers, including prominent figures such as Uttam Kumar Reddy, Sridhar Babu, Ponnam Prabhakar, Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, Damodar Rajanarasimha, Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy, Dana Anasuya, Tummala Nageswar Rao, Konda Surekha, and Jupally Krishna Rao.

Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka has been designated as the Deputy Chief Minister and will join the Chief Minister-elect and other ministers in taking the oath. Anumula Revanth Reddy, often referred to as ‘Tiger Revanth’ by his supporters, emerged as a key figure in Telangana politics, challenging the influential K Chandrashekar Rao of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) and leading the Congress to victory.

The grand ceremony is expected to be attended by Congress leaders Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, and Priyanka Gandhi, along with approximately one lakh attendees. The Congress party is celebrating its success in Telangana, where Revanth Reddy contested from Kamareddy and Kodangal constituencies in the assembly elections.

Despite facing KCR in the Kamareddy seat, Revanth Reddy secured victory in Kodangal. Congress dignitaries such as Mallikarjun Kharge, KC Venugopal, and Manikrao Thakare will also be present at the ceremony, along with Congress chiefs from various states.

Invitations have been extended to several prominent leaders, including former Telangana Chief Minister KCR, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, and TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu.

Following his inauguration, Revanth Reddy is expected to prioritize fulfilling poll guarantees and will kickstart his term by offering the first job to a 38-year-old woman, a promise made during his electoral campaign.
