Today, 75th Republic Day is being celebrated in India on 26 January. On this occasion, flag was unfurled at the headquarters of Bharat Express News Network. CISF, known as Central Industrial Security Force in India, was established by an Act of Parliament on March 10, 1969. It is one of the seven Central Armed Police Forces under the Ministry of Home Affairs.

CISF responsibilities
Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) is deployed at many places across the country. Its main function is to protect the country’s important industrial establishments, nuclear power plants, airports, ports, historical monuments and other important government buildings.
CISF is India’s largest paramilitary force, with approximately 1.63 lakh personnel. There are 103 battalions of this force, which are deployed across the country. For security arrangements, CISF soldiers are given rigorous training and are equipped with modern weapons and equipment.
