Ratan Tata Died at 86
Ratan Tata, a visionary industrialist, philanthropist and a diamond to India, passed away at the age of 86 in a Mumbai hospital on Wednesday. He transformed the Tata Group into a globally recognized conglomerate.
As India mourns the death of Tata as an end of era, Maharashtra and Jharkhand declared a day of mourning to pay respect to the legend we lost.
Declaring on Thursday, Maharashtra government said that the state will observe October,10 as a mourning day to pay homage to late industrialist.
A news agency, quoting Maha CM Eknath Shinde, shared the information that national flag will be flown at half-mast on the government offices an buildings to signify mourning.
The state has canceled all government events for the day. Maharashtra Minister Deepak Kesarkar visited Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai and announced that all state government programs in Mumbai will suspend tomorrow in light of industrialist Ratan Tata’s passing.
Industrialist’s body will be available for public viewing at the National Centre for Performing Arts (NCPA) in south Mumbai from 10 am to 3:30 pm on Thursday, with his last rites taking place later in the day in the Worli area.

Additional Commissioner Abhinav Deshmukh of the Mumbai South Region stated that they will make police arrangements accordingly.
Jharkhand Observes Mourning Day On Rata Tata Demise
On the other hand Chief Minister of Jharkhand also has dedicated a day to mourn the demise of Tata Group’s chairman, emeritus and veteran Industrialist Ratan Tata.
Informing on the subject, CM Hemant Soren took to the X. He wrote that Jharkhand will observe a mourning day for Tata, who gave world recognition to backward states of the country like Jharkhand.

Ratan Tata to be Cremated with Full State Honour
The last rites of illustrious industrialist will take place in Mumbai on Thursday at 4:00 in the evening. Chief Minister of Maharashtra said that the last rites of Tata will be performed with full state honour. Notably, Tata was admitted to a Mumbai hospital following health deterioration, where he died on Wednesday due to age related ailment.
Paying heartful tribute to the icon, CM Eknath Shinde wrote on X that Ratan Tata was the pride of India and that he will remain the role model of next generation entrepreneurs.
