The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust will assemble in Ayodhya on Monday afternoon to evaluate the preliminary findings submitted by the Special Investigation Team (SIT) regarding allegations of irregularities in Ram Temple donations.
The meeting, scheduled for 3 PM at Mani Ramdas Chhavni (Chhoti Chhavni), will also address organisational matters arising from the controversy.
Religious leaders associated with the Ram Temple have maintained that the investigation is progressing satisfactorily and stressed that any action will be based on the conclusions placed before the Trust.
Mahamandaleshwar Swami Paramanand Giri Maharaj said, “Yes, the investigation has revealed certain findings. What the saints’ meeting says on the matter will become clear later. People’s faith will return. Action will be taken based on the investigation report, and the committee will decide what needs to be done, including who remains and who is removed.”
Highlighting the broader impact of the Ram Temple project, Swami Paramanand Giri said the shrine had transformed Ayodhya’s economy by increasing tourism and generating livelihood opportunities. He noted that traders, hotel operators, taxi drivers and other local businesses had benefited from the steady rise in pilgrim arrivals, while ongoing development work would continue to enhance the city.
Mahant Dinendra Das Maharaj confirmed that officials had completed preparations for the meeting and had formally informed all Trust members. He expressed confidence that the inquiry would conclude fairly and that the Trust’s decisions would strengthen devotees’ faith in Lord Ram.
Sources indicated that the Trust would examine the SIT’s preliminary report alongside a five-point agenda covering key administrative issues.
Key Decisions Expected
Among the matters expected to come up are the resignations of General Secretary Champat Rai and Trustee Anil Mishra, whose names surfaced during the controversy, as well as issues relating to Trust administrator Gopal Rao.
The Trust is also likely to discuss the appointment of a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to streamline the temple’s administration and management, with Monday’s meeting expected to shape its response to the ongoing donation row and future governance plans.
