Ayodhya is abuzz with celebrations as devotees from across the country and abroad gather to mark the first anniversary of the Prana-Pratishtha ceremony of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi temple. The anniversary celebrations coincide with the special occasion of Pratishtha Dwadashi, which kicked off on Saturday with numerous events organized by Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Ayodhya Dham.
Dr. Kumar Vishwas Performs First Raga Seva
One of the highlights of the celebration was the first-ever Raga Seva performed by renowned poet and Ram Katha expert, Dr. Kumar Vishwas. Held in the sanctum sanctorum of the temple, this spiritual event captivated the gathered crowd with Dr. Vishwas’s soulful renditions. The event was graced by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Mahant Nritya Gopal Das (President of the Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust), and General Secretary Champat Rai, all of whom joined in performing the initial worship before Dr. Vishwas took over.

During the Raga Seva, Dr. Vishwas not only performed a ritualistic worship but also sang a series of heartfelt, self-composed bhajans in front of Lord Ram. The devotion was palpable as the audience joined in, especially when Dr. Vishwas sang the poignant “Ram Srishta Bhi Hain, Ram Srishti Bhi Hain.” The entire temple premises resonated with the sound of devotees humming along. His emotional presentation left many in the audience moved, and it was clear that both the poet and the devotees were deeply touched by the spiritual experience.
The event was marked by powerful emotional moments, with many devotees wiping tears as they participated in the devotional program. The presence of several respected figures from the saint community, including Mithilashanandini Sharan Ji Maharaj, added to the sanctity of the occasion.
At the conclusion of the Raga Seva, Dr. Kumar Vishwas expressed his deep emotions. “Today, we are celebrating the culmination of hundreds of years of waiting,” he said. He prayed for the day when a similar celebration would take place in the holy premises of Kunj Bihari Lord Krishna, symbolizing the long-awaited connection with Lord Krishna, just as devotees have now witnessed with Lord Ram.
