Defence Minister Rajnath Singh
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh to tour France and Italy from 9th to 12th of this month. During his tour to Italy, Singh is scheduled to meet his Italian counterpart Guido Crisetto. The relationship between India and Italy was elevated to Strategic Partnership in March 2023 during the visit of Italian Prime Minister to India.

After Italy tour, the defence minister is to tour France where he will be conducting the 5th Annual Defence Dialogue with his French counterpart Sebastian Lecornu in Paris. India and France recently celebrated 25 years of Strategic Partnership. Both the countries share excellent deep and wide-ranging bilateral defence relationship.
In both the places Rome and Paris, the Defence Minister will also interact with the defence industry CEOs to discuss potential opportunities for industrial cooperation.

India and France share a fine defence relationships. As India have purchased many defence equipment from France. Rafale Jet is one of them. Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his meeting with French president Emmanuel Macron has discussed many defensive ties. And with Rajnath’s visit it is sure that the defense ties will boost further.
The opposition Congress, it seems, to be anti developmental party. As when the Rafale jets were being purchased so many words were spent by Rahul Gandhi alleging corruption till the Supreme Court turned it down.
