In response to the ceasefire between India and Pakistan, BJP politician and Uttar Pradesh MLA, Dr. Rajeshwar Singh, praised India’s military actions, describing the agreement as a clear victory for India.
On 10 May 2025, Singh took to social media, asserting that the ceasefire reflects India’s decisive military success rather than Pakistan’s appeal for peace.
India’s Military Success In ‘Operation Sindoor’
Referring to the success of ‘Operation Sindoor’, Dr. Rajeshwar highlighted the Indian Army’s recent strikes in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) and the border areas.
Singh noted that India had destroyed nine terrorist bases and four state-of-the-art air defence systems in Pakistan.

He stressed that India retaliated with missiles in response to Pakistan’s drone attacks, sending a strong message that any future terrorist attack would be treated as an “act of war.”
Pakistan Faces International Isolation
Dr. Rajeshwar also pointed to the international consequences of India’s military action, stating that Pakistan had been diplomatically isolated.
He noted that global organisations such as the United Nations, the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), and even China had called for a reduction in tensions.
Singh commended the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi for steering India towards peace, while ensuring that terrorism will not be tolerated under any circumstances.
Ceasefire On India’s Terms: A Reflection Of Military Strength And Strategic Clarity
Singh concluded by asserting that the ceasefire, which was achieved on India’s terms, serves as a reflection of the country’s military might and strategic clarity.
He emphasised that while India desires peace, it will not compromise on its stance against terrorism.
