The event, titled the ‘Active Member Conference’, saw the presence of key leaders, including Mayor Sushma Kharkwal and BJP State Vice President and MLC Santosh Singh.

To begin with, Dr Singh praised the transformation India has undergone under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership.

He said the BJP’s growth from 2 to 302 seats reflected the tireless work of its members.

Citing major changes, he pointed to Kashmir’s shift from unrest to becoming a tourism hotspot and India’s emergence as a global decision-maker through the G-20 presidency.

India’s Economic And Social Landscape Transformed

Dr Singh detailed the economic strides made in the last 11 years. He said exports jumped from $450 billion to $800 billion, and foreign investment crossed $597 billion.

According to him, India now ranks among the top five in foreign exchange reserves.

Further, he highlighted the success of financial inclusion through Jan Dhan Yojana, which opened 52 crore bank accounts, 65% of them in rural areas.

He added that Direct Benefit Transfers saved ₹3 lakh crore by eliminating middlemen.

At the same time, the Clean India Mission led to the construction of over 9 crore toilets, which he said saved ₹50,000 crore in health costs.

Over six crore families have benefited from free healthcare through the Ayushman Bharat scheme.

In terms of women’s empowerment, he mentioned that the Ujjwala scheme gave 9.6 crore LPG connections.

He added that women received 68% of ₹32 lakh crore loans under the Mudra Yojana.

He also noted the impact of banning triple talaq and setting up 150 sewing centers in Sarojininagar.

Cultural And Local Development Took Center Stage

Speaking about cultural progress, Dr Singh referred to the construction of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya and the ₹900 crore Kashi Vishwanath Corridor.

He mentioned the rejuvenation of Mahakal Lok and the grand transformation of the Maha Kumbh with ₹7,000 crore.

Locally, he said the BJP-led efforts brought beautification to more than 100 temples in Sarojininagar.

The area received 185 benches, 74 solar lights, 71 handpumps, and ₹3.73 crore for the Reteshwar and Jhadeshwar temples.

Moreover, he said road construction has more than doubled—from 12 km/day in 2014 to 30.4 km/day in 2023. Under ‘Make in India’, India now manufactures BrahMos missiles, Sukhoi aircraft, and even space missions like Chandrayaan.

He said the number of startups rose from less than 500 in 2016 to over 1.6 lakh today, creating 16.6 lakh jobs, with 73,000 of them led by women.

On The Global Stage, India’s Leadership Stands Tall

On the international front, Dr Singh said the abrogation of Article 370 led to a 91% drop in stone-pelting, and over 2 crore tourists visited Kashmir in 2023.

He added that 11.8 crore farmers received ₹3 lakh crore through PM-Kisan, and 42 crore benefited from crop insurance.

He also spoke about India’s vaccine diplomacy, stating the country sent over 11 crore doses to 97 nations. Under Modi’s leadership, India chaired the G-20 and played key roles in BRICS and QUAD.

In the field of sports, he highlighted the results of the Khelo India and Fit India movements, noting 6 Olympic and 29 Paralympic medals in 2024. Sarojininagar alone hosted over 12,000 athletes in local leagues and formed 200 youth clubs.
