Rajasthan Set To Boost Industrial Growth With New Industrial Park

In a significant boost to Rajasthan’s industrial development, the state has been allocated a major industrial park in the first Budget of the BJP-led central government. The Jodhpur Pali Marwar Industrial Area, sanctioned under the National Industrial Corridor Development Programme, is expected to generate direct employment for around 40,000 people.

Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman announced the park as one of the 12 new industrial parks, with Rajasthan receiving an additional Rs 7,000 crore as its share of Central taxes. The project, located near the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor, will be developed on 1,578 acres at an estimated cost of Rs 922 crore.

The park’s strategic location, equidistant from Jodhpur and Pali City, is expected to drive industrial growth in western Rajasthan. The state government, led by Bhajan Lal Sharma, has already approved Rs 275 crore for water infrastructure development in the Rajasthan Budget 2024.

Land acquisition for the project is underway, with notifications issued for the acquisition of 1,000 acres. This significant investment is poised to transform Rajasthan’s industrial landscape, creating new opportunities for employment and economic growth.
