As per Assembly rules, any MLA who wishes to be absent from the House during a session must inform the Speaker in writing. The Speaker then conducts a vote and seeks opinions from the House before exempting the MLA from attending the sessions.
Meena’s resignation as Agriculture Minister has been tendered, and he has also met with BJP National President JP Nadda. However, a decision on his resignation is still pending.
Meena’s absence from the Budget Session comes at a time when the state government is set to present its budget, and important discussions and debates are expected to take place in the Assembly. His decision to skip the session has sparked interest among political circles, with many speculating about the reasons behind his move.
