The Supreme Court on Monday ordered that the case against Bholu, the accused in the case of Prince, a class 2 student killed in a school in Gurugram, will be tried as an adult. The Supreme Court issued this order rejecting the defence petition. The Supreme Court rejected the petition of accused Bholu, in which the orders of the Juvenile Justice Board, Sessions Court, and Punjab and Haryana High Court were challenged. In the petition, the High Court’s decision to prosecute the case as an adult was challenged.
What is the whole matter?
Bholu is accused of killing Prince, a class 2 student, in the bathroom of a private school in Gurugram about six years ago, on September 8, 2017. The Supreme Court clearly refused to consider any such petition. She said that the accused will have to face trial as an adult.
In fact, on September 8, 2017, Prince (name given by the court), a student at a private school, was murdered by slitting his throat. Bholu (name given by the court) is the accused in this case. In this case, on October 17 last year, the Juvenile Justice Board also gave orders to treat Bholu as an adult and run the case. After this, the Sessions Court also decided to prosecute Bholu as an adult.

The court had taken the decision based on the psychiatrist’s opinion.
On July 27 last year, after hearing all three parties, the JJ Board asked the psychiatrist included in the board’s panel to give his opinion in the case. But later, three psychiatrists from PGI Rohtak presented the report, after which it was decided to consider the accused as an adult and run the case. The defence party had filed a petition against this in the Supreme Court.
