On Sunday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the first-ever National Training Conclave at Delhi’s Pragati Maidan International Exhibition and Convention Centre.
The conclave was attended by representatives from civil services training institutes from throughout the country.
The Capacity Building Commission convened it with the objective of encouraging collaboration among civil services training institutes and strengthening the training infrastructure for civil servants across the country.
More than 1500 representatives from training institutes, including Central Training Institutes, State Administrative Training Institutes, Regional and Zonal Training Institutes, and Research institutes, attended the conclave.

According to an official statement, civil servants from central government ministries, state governments, and local governments, as well as specialists from the private sector, participated in the deliberations.
“This diverse gathering will foster the exchange of ideas, identify the challenges being faced and opportunities available, and generate actionable solutions and comprehensive strategies for capacity building”, the release reads.
The colloquium included eight-panel talks, each concentrating on major topics relevant to Civil services training institutes such as faculty development, training impact assessment, and content digitization.
