One of the central themes of the meeting was the emphasis on social media engagement. PM Modi encouraged ministers to actively connect with the public through various platforms, stressing the need for swift responses to feedback. This, he suggested, would help in portraying the government as responsive and responsible.
The Prime Minister also instructed his ministers to report on ten significant decisions from their respective ministries every 100 days, ensuring that these developments are communicated broadly. This initiative is part of a broader push for transparency and accountability.
Budget Announcement
In addition to discussing the Budget announcements made by Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, the meeting included a detailed presentation by Cabinet Secretary Rajiv Gauba. Gauba outlined 73 key decisions made in the first 85 days of the Modi 3.0 government, and highlighted advancements in health, education, and infrastructure.
The Prime Minister also addressed the newly inducted ministers, providing them with specific guidance on their roles. The meeting concluded with a light-hearted remark from PM Modi, who indicated that the session was just an introduction to his demanding working style and that ministers should prepare for a continuous pace of work.
Looking ahead, the Modi administration plans to commemorate the tenth anniversary of various welfare schemes launched under the current government on September 5, showcasing its long-term impact and successes.
However, the extensive meeting underscores PM Modi’s commitment to a proactive and transparent government, with a clear focus on performance, reform, transformation, and effective communication.
