Prime Minister Modi To Visit Rajasthan On May 22 For Major Infrastructure Launches

On May 22, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Rajasthan, making significant stops in Bikaner and Deshnok.

At around 11 AM, the Prime Minister will visit the Karni Mata Temple in Deshnok, a major pilgrimage site.

Following this, PM Modi will inaugurate the redeveloped Deshnok railway station under the Amrit Bharat Station Yojana at 11:30 AM.

As part of the same event, PM Modi will flag off the Bikaner-Mumbai Express train, marking a new chapter in the region’s transportation connectivity.

Later in the day, PM Modi will lay the foundation stone and inaugurate several development projects across Rajasthan, amounting to over Rs 26,000 crore.

This will include a public address at Palana, where he will present the nation with new initiatives aimed at enhancing infrastructure and boosting the state’s economy.

Amrit Bharat Station Yojana: Revamping Railway Stations Across India

In a significant push for better railway infrastructure, the Prime Minister will also inaugurate 103 redeveloped Amrit stations at a combined cost of over Rs 1,100 crore.

These stations, located in 86 districts across 18 states and Union Territories, will offer modern facilities designed to reflect regional architectural heritage.

The Deshnok station, for example, will be inspired by the temple’s architecture, incorporating arches and pillars that pay homage to the local cultural landscape.

Other notable station renovations include Begumpet Railway Station in Telangana, which takes inspiration from the Kakatiya Empire, and Thawe Station in Bihar, which features murals and artifacts representing Maa Thawewali, a revered deity.

These redeveloped stations aim to blend modern infrastructure with cultural significance, ensuring a memorable experience for passengers.

Electrification And Expansion Of Railway Networks

PM Modi’s visit also highlights Indian Railways’ commitment to sustainability.

The Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone for the Churu-Sadulpur rail line (58 km) and dedicate several railway line electrifications, including those of Suratgarh-Phalodi (336 km), Phulera-Degana (109 km), and Udaipur-Himmatnagar (210 km).

These electrifications are part of Indian Railways’ push towards 100% electrification, enhancing operational efficiency and reducing carbon emissions.

Road Infrastructure Boost For Rajasthan

On the road infrastructure front, the Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone for three vehicle underpasses, the widening and strengthening of national highways, and will dedicate seven road projects worth more than Rs 4,850 crore.

These projects will not only improve the movement of goods and people within the state but also enhance security, particularly near the Indo-Pak border, supporting India’s defence infrastructure.

Focus On Clean Energy And Electricity Supply

PM Modi will also focus on providing clean and green energy to the people of Rajasthan.

The Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone for solar power projects at Bikaner, Nawa, Didwana, and Kuchaman, alongside transmission systems for power evacuation.

These initiatives will contribute significantly to reducing carbon emissions and providing sustainable energy solutions across the region.

Additionally, the Prime Minister will inaugurate the expansion of transformation capacity at the Fatehgarh-II Power Station, which is expected to boost electricity supply and support the state’s growing energy demands.

Significant Water And Health Infrastructure Developments

The Prime Minister will also dedicate several key water and healthcare infrastructure projects.

Notably, PM Modi will inaugurate rural water supply and fluorosis mitigation projects in Jhunjhunu district and the restructuring of urban water schemes in seven cities of Pali district under AMRUT 2.0.

Healthcare will see a significant boost with the inauguration of new nursing colleges in Rajsamand, Pratapgarh, Bhilwara, and Dholpur.

These new institutions will strengthen the state’s health infrastructure and address the growing demand for healthcare professionals.

Prime Minister Modi’s visit to Rajasthan is set to be a milestone in the state’s development.

With a focus on improving transport infrastructure, energy supply, healthcare, and water management, the initiatives announced during the visit will have a lasting impact on the state’s growth and the well-being of its residents.
