Once again Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission is in light when an incident of answer sheets were swapped in the UPPCS-J 2022 main examination of Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC).

Prayagraj: Once again Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission is in light when an incident  of answer sheets were swapped in the UPPCS-J 2022 main examination of Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC). After confirmation in the investigation, the commission has taken action against five officers and employees. Permission has been sought from the government to take action against the retired assistant review officer.

Many changes have also been made to make the coding process 100% error-free. After investigating the UPPCA-J answer sheet swapping case, the commission has suspended section officer Shivshankar, review officer Neelam Shukla and assistant review officer Bhagwati Devi.

It has been decided to file a chargesheet against the supervisory officer, Deputy Secretary Satish Chandra Mishra, as part of departmental action. A letter has been sent to the government seeking permission to take action against retired Assistant Review Officer Chandrakala.

Secretary of the commission, Ashok Kumar, said that during the investigation, the matter of swapping of PCS-J answer sheets came to light after unsuccessful candidate Shravan Kumar filed an RTI to see the answer sheet.

After seeing the answer sheet, the candidate had alleged that the handwriting in his English answer sheet had been changed and some pages of another answer sheet had been torn. Due to this, he failed in the main examinatio

When the candidate filed a petition in the High Court, the Commission summoned six answer sheets of the candidate from the court. The Commission gave an affidavit in the High Court and said that 18,042 answer sheets of all 3,019 candidates who appeared in the main examination are being examined. Next date for hearing has been fixed for July 8.
