Dengue had continue to wreak havoc in village Gaddopur, Phaphamau, situated in trans- Ganga area, where within a month more than a dozen of residents died who were suffering from dengue and many more patients are suffering from same ailment. Many villagers has also left the village in panic .
Gaddopur village is situated next to Phaphamau where within 30 days Kavita Kumari,17, Ramkali, 20, Ganpati Devi, 65, Manju Devi, 33, Lakhan Lal,35, Guddi Devi,40, Sonu Patel,18, Baijnath,70, Uma Devi, 50, Soni Devi, 60, and Poonam Devi, 38, have lost their lives from dengue.
According to local residents has alleged that despite of repeated complaints made to health department no concerned official is taking any action in this regard so that local residents can be protected by this deadly disease.
Twelve new infected people were found on Wednesday. Among them, five are dengue and three chikungunya patients. With this, the number of dengue patients in the district has reached 336 and that of chikungunya has reached 258 in official records . 49 patients suffering from dengue are undergoing treatment.
According to Dr Yash Agarwal , eminent doctor of the city ,due to fluctuations in weather, dengue patients are continuously increasing and at present. Dengue (break-bone fever) is a viral infection that spreads from mosquitoes to people.
