Pranav Adani, Director of Adani Enterprises, emphasised the urgent need for large-scale transformation to help India realize its full potential and achieve the vision of ‘Viksit Bharat’ by 2047, as envisioned by PM Narendra Modi.
He made these remarks during the first Foundation Day of the Chintan Research Foundation (CRF) in New Delhi on Thursday.
“The scale of transformation is required for India to realise its full potential and become ‘Viksit Bharat’ by 2047,” Adani said.
CRF’s Focus Areas Reflect National Priorities
While speaking about the mission of the Chintan Research Foundation, Pranav Adani highlighted that CRF is addressing key national and global issues such as climate change, equitable energy transition, supply chain evolution, global economy, and geopolitics.
“The CRF is working in areas crucial to shaping the world’s future through research, deliberation, and policy recommendations,” he said.
He likened CRF’s approach to that of the Adani Group, which has invested heavily in critical infrastructure sectors over the past three decades, saying both are aligned in driving growth and innovation.
India’s People Are Its Biggest Asset
In a conversation with ANI, Adani expressed strong optimism about India’s economic future. He said India’s 1.4 billion citizens represent the country’s most valuable asset.
“Fifty per cent of the economy is active in driving GDP growth, and the other half is passive. The real Indian growth story will begin when the other 50% joins the mainstream,” he remarked.
He stressed that once this segment becomes fully engaged, India’s growth trajectory would accelerate significantly.
Inclusivity Must Guide Research Outreach
Pranav Adani called for expanding CRF’s presence beyond New Delhi to ensure inclusive and grassroots-level research.
He advocated extending research and policy engagement to cities such as Ranchi, Raipur, Bhubaneswar, Bhopal, and regions like the Northeast, coastal areas, and rural heartlands.
“Let us move beyond Delhi. India is not just one city or one region. It’s a chorus of diverse voices across geographies,” he said.
He suggested that the foundation conduct regional events and engage local policymakers to surface area-specific priorities and bring them into the national discourse.
CRF Should Contribute to Global South Policy Narratives
Adani urged CRF to look beyond India and share India’s policy lessons with other developing countries.
He said the Global South could benefit from India’s experience in managing development, and CRF should help shape policy narratives internationally.
“Our ambition must cross borders and oceans. We must offer policy models based on India’s growth story,” he stated.
Adani Confirms Safety of Overseas Projects Amid Middle East Tensions
Addressing concerns about the safety of Adani Group’s overseas projects amid ongoing tensions in the Middle East, Adani reassured the media that all the company’s foreign assets are safe and secure.
“There are concerns, but luckily, all our assets abroad are safe. We shouldn’t worry about it,” he said.
