PM-VBRY Reflects New India’s Focus On Employment: PM Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday said the PM Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana (PM-VBRY) is generating employment across the country. He said the scheme is empowering young people and helping build a stronger workforce for the future.

Addressing an incentive disbursal programme under PM-VBRY, the Prime Minister said the initiative has helped create millions of jobs in recent years. He said the scheme has become a symbol of the Union government’s commitment to expanding opportunities for India’s youth.

“PM-VBRY is the identity of a new India. It represents an India where employment generation is at the core of the country’s spirit. When youth, government, and industry come together, the pace of job creation increases many times over,” PM Modi said.

The Prime Minister said India is among the world’s youngest nations. He highlighted the aspirations, skills and capabilities of the country’s youth.

PM Modi said these strengths will drive India’s journey towards becoming a developed nation.

“India is among the world’s youngest nations, and the journey towards a developed India will be shaped by the dreams, skills, and capabilities of its youth,” the Prime Minister added.

The Prime Minister reiterated that creating meaningful employment opportunities and empowering young people remain key priorities of the Union government. He said the government is firmly supporting young people entering the workforce for the first time through the scheme.

“The scheme not only supports job seekers but also encourages industries to recruit and invest in fresh talent,” PM Modi said.

The Prime Minister added that government support for first-time employees also boosts employer confidence and strengthens the overall employment ecosystem.

The Prime Minister congratulated young beneficiaries who secured jobs under the initiative, as well as the institutions that provided them employment opportunities. He noted that these organisations have contributed significantly to generating lakhs of jobs in recent months.

Highlighting the importance of collaboration, PM Modi said experience and data consistently support this approach. He said employment generation accelerates when the government, industry and youth work together.
